What inspired you to publish your book?
My daughters! This prayer book/journal will always be a remembrance of our mornings together.
What can readers take away from your book?
I designed this book for the working mom and busy child. We are often running to work, school games, practices, and having late-night homework sessions, BUT it is so important for me to instill in my girls that prayer matters. It should be the very start and ending of your day, and moments in between. Prayer will literally change your life. It evokes change. It puts your life in proper perspective and changes the way you think.
What was your writing process like?
The writing process was soothing for me. I would write these prayers with my daughters in mind. I wanted them to be intentional yet powerful. We pray the word over their life.
Are you planning to write other books?
Yes! KaLeah and I are actually in the beginning stages of our children’s book. Stay tuned!
What's a cool or interesting fact about yourself?
For a long time, I was afraid to pray. I would shy away from praying. Now, prayer is my lifestyle!
What is some advice you would give aspiring or first-time authors?
Just write! Always have a pen and pencil ready because you will be inspired in the most unconventional ways and sometimes the most inconvenient times. Don’t overthink or doubt yourself. Just write!
